The current Azadi Stadium, known as the Olympic Stadium, was designed and built to host the 1974 Asian Games. Its architectural design was done by Abdolaziz Farmanfarmaeian and Associates Institute and the rest of the required engineering services were done by other companies. Meanwhile, Tehran Boston engineers undertook all calculations and services for designing concrete structures and diverting the water of the Kan River and its artificial lake to the stadium.
