Due to the development of petrochemical plants and ancillary industries in the special petrochemical zone (located in Imam Khomeini port), increasing the capacity of water supply and transmission facilities in the southeast of Khuzestan province in three phases and each phase of about 4.1 cubic meters per second was on the agenda. .
The main parts of the first phase of development with a capacity of 4.1 cubic meters per second are as follows:
- Development of mechanical and electrical installations of Kot Amir reservoir pump house
- Development of process buildings and facilities of Kot Amir Preliminary Refinery
- Development of mechanical and electrical installations of Mansouri pressure boosting pumps
- Development of mechanical and electrical facilities of Mansouri Pump House No. 2
- Reconstruction of bridges and access road to the 85 km long pipeline route
- Development of buildings and facilities of Sarbandar refinery.
