This project is defined to produce high quality water for Maroon Petrochemical Complex. The project includes a reservoir, transmission pipeline and water treatment plant.
The required water is supplied from Karun river and is treated in Kot Amir water treatment plant, then it is pumped to the treatment plant through an open canal (30 km). The total capacity of the treatment plant is 07.0 cubic meters per second. The proposed treatment processes are: Chlorination (to remove microbiological species), filtration (to reduce suspended solids), and deionization and use of reverse osmosis (to reduce solutes).
